The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit dog rescue organization specializing in older dogs but taking in and finding homes for dogs of all ages...even puppies. See our adoptable dogs Here. We will have dogs at the Kirkwood Petco near I-44 and Lindbergh 11 to 3 Saturday/Sunday, July 30 and 31.
Last weekend the good folks at Wishbone Photography donated some of their time to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project. The result: a few glamour shots of some fabulous dogs. That's Meecho up there. She wins friends everywhere. Don't let her grey face fool you. She may be a little bit senior, but she can keep up with most of you. Maybe this smiling picture will help her catch a new home.
And this is Laura, another barely senior lady. She recently ended up in animal control and was scheduled for euthanasia. The veterinarian saw a good dog and asked if we could take her. She's now hoping this picture will attract a little attention her way.
Meecho and Laura are both Heinz 57 dogs. For lack of a better idea, we call dogs like these shepherd mixes or lab mixes.
And here's Sweets. He's definitely a senior dog, but what a nice fellow. He enjoys slow walks and long naps. Sweets also comes with free vet care at the Stray Rescue Clinic if a senior citizen adopts him. Sweets is also a Heinz 57, but we're calling him a Corgi mix.
Finally, this is Salty, a senior redbone coonhound. This boy just loves to curl up on the sofa with his best friend. He also enjoys a moderate amount of playtime. We're betting someone needs a good ole
Pictures say it all sometimes. Gorgeous dogs.
