Madge needs a home
The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit dog rescue organization specializing in older dogs but taking in and finding homes for dogs of all ages...even puppies. Meet your new best friend 11 to 3 Saturday, August 2, and noon to 3 Sunday, August 3, at the Kirkwood Petco. To see which dogs will be there plus other available dogs, go Here.
Madge, above, is looking for a home. She's a tad on the senior side, but then so are some of you. In every other way, she's perfect. We think she's a Golden Retriever mix.
Madge is one of our Dixie Fund dogs, which means the fund covers most of her adoption fee and her new people would only owe $50.
And while we're at it, Madge wants to invite you to our September 20 Trivia Night. This is our major fundraising event every year, and the results make it possible for us to continue rescuing older dogs (and young ones too). Our adoption fees cover only about 60 % of our expenses.
Trivia Night will be at the Assumption Parish of Mattese, 4709 Mattis Rd. Doors open at 6. Trivia begins at 7. Cost is $25 per person for up to 8 players per table. The fee includes beer and soda. Bring your own snaks.
For more information or to make reservations, contact Arlene at 314-623-0412 or Kulade5@yahoo.com
Sign up now and spread the room. We're hoping for a full house. You can come as a table of 8, or you can come alone and join others. All are welcome.
And check out all our wonderful dogs at the Kirkwood Petco 11 to 3 Saturday and noon to 3 Sunday.
