The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit dog rescue organization specializing in older dogs but taking in and finding homes for dogs of all ages...even puppies. Meet your new best friend 11 to 3 Saturday, November 28, and noon to 3 Sunday, November 29, in the Kirkwood Petco north of I-44 off the Lindbergh exit. To see which dogs are available, go Here.
Those of you who read my blog know that I brought out my first novel, Redbud: A Dog Lady Mystery, in August. I'm now out with book two in the series, The Chihuahua Affair.
The Chihuahua Affair again takes place in a small Nebraska town where many of the book's main characters are part of the Redbud Area Dog Rescue. The Chief of Police knits and is also the county historian. And everyone goes to Bella's, a cafe with great food and even better atmosphere.
You can read these books in any order, but they work better if you read Redbud first. So I'm making this book available at only 99 centers Friday through Sunday on Kindle. If you don't own a Kindle, you can download the application and read the book on your computer or handheld.
Thanks to all of you who have encouraged me. And yes, I am at work on a third book with the tentative title of Dog Gone With the Wind.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. We will be at the Kirkwood Petco again this weekend, hoping to give some of our rescue dogs another reason to give thanks.
