Lincoln
The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit dog rescue organization specializing in older dogs but taking in and finding homes for dogs of all ages...even puppies. Meet your new best friend noon to 3 Sunday, April 24, in the Kirkwood Petco at I-44 and Lindbergh. To see which dogs are available, go Here.
Update: Deacon, below, has been adopted. One additional person has offered to Pay It Forward by paying the adoption fee for another senior dog. Lincoln will be adopted soon. He has a terrific application.
Yesterday I announced that Lesa had offered to participate in Pay It Forward April by offering to pay the adoption fee for her foster dog Deacon, who is 3-legged.
Suitably inspired, I then offered to pay the fee for Rocket, a rat terrier who is on a special diet because of skin allergies. He is one of my fosters.
Then this morning, Erin jumped in with an offer to pay it forward by covering Lincoln's adoption fee. Hooray! Lincoln, picture above, is an amazing hound/shepherd type dog who is friendly with everyone, solidly housebroken, and good on lead. He's a super dog to take on a walk.
Today Lesa tells me she may have a potential home for Deacon. And I've received one inquiry about Rocket.
Just to be clear again, we're being extra selective with these dogs. Only the best will do. And the offers are good only if the dogs are adopted in April.
Both Lincoln and Rocket will be at the Kirkwood Petco Sunday from noon to 3. If not already adopted, Deacon will be there too.
In case you don't remember Deacon and Rocket, here they are again. First Deacon.
And now Rocket.
Anyone else want to Pay it Forward?
