Princess says Thank You.
The St. Louis Senior Dog Project is a not-for-profit dog rescue organization specializing in older dogs but taking in and finding homes for dogs of all ages...even puppies. Meet your new best friend 11 to 3 Saturday, June 4, in the Kirkwood Petco. To see which dogs wil be there, go Here.
All of us at St. Louis Senior Dog Project thank you for your donations during GiveSTLDay. The day had its problems -- due to the website crashing at 10 am. We weren't sure how it would all turn out. But thanks to a phone bank and extending the "day" into half of a second day once the website recovered, we all recovered nicely.
The latest word was that we took in $7,831 from GiveSTLDay and an additional $700 from our own website. Others had told us they're sending in donations by mail.
So Thank You. Success. Princess, above, is only one of the many dogs benefiting from your generosity. She came to us after her owner went to jail. He had inherited her from his dad and had promised to take care of her. He did that for her by getting her to us.
Today I also picked up a Chihuahua, Maggie, from a local shelter, and picked up Jeff, a young border collie who is spending the weekend with me while his foster parents are gone for the weekend. So here, in order, are pictures of Maggie and Jeff, who are both available for adoption.
Hope to see some of you 11 to 3 Saturday at the Kirkwood Petco.
